On saturday Sylas turned one month old already. I can't believe it has been a month sine we were in the hospital waiting to meet him. He was born at 10 lbs 9 ounces. He went down to 9 8 but is now up to 11 pounds 9 ounces. He has also grown an inch and a half in the last month. He is a really good baby. He only cries when he is hungery or needs to be changed and is very alert. He is a great traveler too and has already been on his first trip to oregon. He got to meet all of his cousins and got to see his grandparents. We are so lucky to have such a sweet little boy.

So today Sylas Saumuel Oliver is one week old. It has been a very busy week and very tiring. Sylas was born early thursda morning, friday and most of saturday we hung out at the hospital. Saturday night we got to come home and hang out with family. Sunday we stayed home and rested and said good bye to nana O. She had to go back to Oregon and we miss her. Monday we got to stay home and hang out as a family. Tuesday we went to get Sylas circumzed and his blood take( which took for ever). Wednesday we went back to get sylas's blood taken and then to Biel Air force base to get him signed up for our insurance and into the military database. Today we went to a doctors appointment for me and now we have one for Zane. We have been really busy with getting ready to move. Ollie leaves on Monday to floriday to look for a house for us to buy so please pray for safe travel him and that we find the house God wants us to have.

On Thursday morning about 5am Ollie and I drove to the hospital for my scheduled c-section. We checked in and and they preped me for surgery. We sat their for two hours while they preped me for surgery. About seven thirty they took me into the operating room. Ollie got all dressed up in his scrubs while they got me all numed up(which is not a pleasent experience and makes me sick). It stings and hurts but also feels very weird and makes me sick to my stomach. Needless to say I threw up on the operating table even though I couldn't feel my stomach muscles. Finally Ollie came in and they proceeded with the surgery.I laid there not able to move trying not to freak out and feeling all the tugging and pushing they were doing on my stomach to get the baby out. After what seemed like forever we heard his little cry and they took him over to the warmer to clean him up and they finished sewing and stapleing me up. Sylas Samuel Oliver was born at seven fifty seven in the morning. He was 10 pounds,9 ounces and 20.5 inches long.
They took the baby to the nursery for his bath and to go under the warmer while they took me in to the recovery room to wait until the numbing wore off. I laid there for an hour paralized for the chest up trying not to think about the fact that I couldn't move my legs. The scariest feeling in the world.Once the numbness started to wear off they took me into my room.On the way to my room I got sick again from the motion and threw up all over the nice nurse. Finally when I was set up in my room Sylas was brought to me and mom and judie came into the room too. My legs were still very numb but my stomach was starting to get feeling back and becam very sore. I got sick a few more times between then and when my legs got the feeling back. We slept off and on the rest of that day.Papa brought the boys in so they could see their brother. Carver really liked him but Zane was not to interested. After everyone left Ollie and I naped and watched tv. I wasn't allowed to have anything but water the rest of the day. Around 10pm the nurse came in and the got me up to walk around the halls. It is very important to walk after surgery so the circulation can get going again and the healing can begin. We finally went to sleep around 11pm and at 12:30am we were woken up by the nurse to take my vitals and take the baby to do is newborn scan. Sylas was very upset by this since we were cuddlef in bed very comfortably. He wouldn't sleep by himself and I decided that we needed sleep so he went to bed with me. They kept him in the Nursery until 3am and then they brought him back so I could feed him. We slept until five and then more people came in and did more things to us. The next day was spent walking around the hospital and taking cat naps between visitors and feedings. The pain was worse the next day since the medicine was wearing off. Also the itching was pretty bad too since from the medicine they gave me. I did get to take a shower how ever which made it really nice. That night was not much better and I had to call the nursery to come and take the baby for an hour because I couldn't function. We got to go home the next day after dinner. I was so glad since we thought we would have to stay another day. We are glad to be home and trying to adjust to life with a newborn that has his days mixed up and doesn't like to be away from his mommy. The boys are having a hard time adjusting but there are a lot of changes going on. They are enjoying helping with there little brother though.

Last friday started out as a nice day; the boys went with heidi and the kids to the park to play and I had some free time. I got quite a bit done and it was so nice to have some peace and quite while they were gone. They came home and were happy that they got to go and have fun. We were working on getting luch ready and it was almost nap time when I heard a horrible scream from the bedroom. I race in there and Zane is sceaming at the top of his lungs and holding his head. I took him to the living room to see what happend and you could already see the black and blue above his eye. It had already started to swell as well.We got some ice and tired to hold it on there but he was not having any of that. I fought with him for a while to keep the ice on but didn't have much luck. Ollie came home early that day since I had a doctors appointment that day. Since Zane is such a dady's boy I gave him to Ollie to see if he could get him to keep some ice on it. We gave him some tyenol but weren't sure if we could put him down for a nap or not. He decided that he didn't want a nap and just wanted to sit with daddy for a while. The boys sat and watched some tv while I went to take a nap before we left ( I have such a good husband to let me take a nap while he stays up with the kids)for my doctors appointment.
They has gotten very colorful but the swelling has gone down which is good. The poor little thing looks so pitaful but I am sure this is just the begining of owies since I have boys and they are very rough and tumble. I just hope they wait a while to get stiches. I am not great with blood ( at least not my own, we will see about theirs). I tooks some pictures just to see how it progressed.

Alright so we are finally getting close to the end; on thursday we are scheduled to go in for a c-section. Both of my other children were born c-section so they have scheduled me for another c-section for this child. We have to be there at 5:30 and I am not allowed to eat or drink anything after midnight(not even water). The surgery starts at 7:30 and we should have a healthy baby by 8:00. My parents and Ollie's mom are coming down tomorrow to watch the kids and be here for the birth.Papa and Judie will be here for the weekend and then go home but mom will stay for a couple weeks since she will be out of school and has the time off. It's nice to have her here even though Ollie has time off too because I am helpless for a couple weeks at least. Also this time we will be getting things ready to pack and Ollie will be flying to florida to look at some houses to buy. We have so much to do this time. Please pray for a speedy recovery for me,a healthy baby, safe travel for Ollie and that we find the house God wants us to have. Also we will be doing a lot of traveling in july so please pray for safe travel for all and that our move details fall into place. I hope we get to see everyone before we leave for florida.

He as learned a lot and been on a lot of field trips to so really neat places. Last night they had their graduation ceramony for the kids complete with preformance and caps and gowns. It was so cute and the kids all got a madallion. Carver had a hard time keeping the hat on his head but thought the whole experience was fun.

So today we got up kinda late weren't sure what we were going to do today. Since we didn't have any milk in the house we decided to go across the street to hometown buffet to get some breakfast. They have a great breakfast but it is really dangerous living next to hometown because we end up over there more than we should. It's also only about $23 for all of us to eat whatever and however much we want. I had the bright idea after ate to bag up our laundery(we are way behind) and take it to the laundromat so we would get it all done at once and that would be less for us to do at home. We are trying to go through everything since we are moving and get rid of anyting we don't want and need. So we found a coin laundery close to the house(one I had never been to and no that was not the name) because the last one we had got to didn't take coins which irritated me. We got there a relized we forgot the coins and then the regular sized washers you weren't allowed to put any blankets or pillows or anything big in. Also they cost a dollar fifty to run. We decided to go ahead and wash are clothes anyway so we got the quarters and starting filling wash machines. We found out the hard way some didn't work so we had to move the clothes but at least we hadn't put the quarters in yet. The first couple loads came out okay but we had quite a few load that didn't spin so we had to wring them out by hand and then a couple we had to rewash because they were soapy. Then moving them to the dryer was crazy because most of the dryers didn't work so we played the waiting game. We got everything mostly dry and the kids did pretty good even though there were huge puddles on the floor from the wash machines that didn't spin but people took their clothes out without wringing them out first. We didn't finish folding the clothes there because by the time everything was mostly dry we were so ready to go home and the kids needed a nap. We should have gone to the other laundermat that I had been to before. now we know and I felt bad because it was not a fun day and it was my idea but we go quite a few loads done.

So tonight when we got home from playgroup we got some pizza and sat down to watch the Sinbad movie. It was cute and suprisingly the boye weren't scared of all the sea mosters. When the movie was over we put a couple floor puzzles together. The boys are very good at putting them together and Zane was suprising me at how well he can match his colors, numbers and letters. After the puzzles we got out the game perfection. It's a fun game where you have to put the shapes in the right holes before the time is up and the board pops up. The boys did really good and had a great time waiting for the board to pop up. Zane keep saying" were sharing. He is starting to get the hang of sharing. We all had a really good night and need to spend more nights playing games instead of vegging in front of the TV. They are growing up so fast and I am trying not to miss it. I am having a hard time spending time with them right now because I am so uncomfortable and tired. Hopfully things will get better after I have this baby.
